Two Wolves

January 26, 2010

An elder Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, “A fight is going on inside me. It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves.

One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, jealousy and lies.

The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth and compassion.

This same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too.”

The children thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather,

“Which wolf will win?”

The wise one simply replied: “The one I feed.”

Powerful Beyond Measure

December 30, 2009

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I AM A WILD WOMAN

November 27, 2009

I AM A WILD WOMAN

I am a wild woman I know, inspite of myself and in spite of what I’ve been told that there’s beauty in every age no matter how old

I am a wild woman I’ve learned what it means to be a life bearer to bear children to create art to plant seeds of love

I am a wild woman from the depths of the dirt underneath my fingernails to the height of my very soul I am one with the Earth the winds from the four directions whisper through my skin

I am a wild woman and the spirit of every wild woman coalesces in me for we are each wild women and we are all the spirit of the wild woman I will follow the voice in my heart

I am a wild woman I sing from my heart I dance with the stars I howl at the moon I love uncontrollably

I am a wild woman from the deepest, darkest, most sacred part of me I am fearless I cry in strength I open my arms to the sky and welcome the rain

I am a wild woman I nurture, love and protect I stand, strongly, silently, sweetly for my brothers I walk dutifully, prayerfully, joyfully upon the mother and I will not be stopped

I am a wild woman.

A Single Desire

November 10, 2009

At the moment of awakening one realizes that what they have always been seeking is what they already are in essence.  In the great emptiness, the stillness and the silence, where everything and nothing resides, we already are perfect, enlightened and enlivened.  The laugh comes then to those who allow it – the absurdity of it all – the simplicity of it all – the perfection that we already are, when we realize that we have always already been Home.

A Single Desire Awakeness is inherent in all things and all beings everywhere all the time. This awakeness relates to every moment from innocence from absolute honesty from a state where you feel absolutely authentic. Only from this state do you realize that you never really wanted whatever you thought you wanted. You realize that behind all of your desires was a single desire: to experience each moment from your true nature.

Finding peace, stillness, contentment and silence in the ever-present witness that is our source, can only be achieved through meditative practice.  Meditation can be dynamic motion, still silence, the spoken word, song, prayer, or any other practice that brings your awareness to the crystal state of being in the PRESENT, NOW MOMENT.  This now is all that exists, so embrace it, feel it, taste it, know it, de-light in it, listen to it…

NOW…

…do you hear?

“Meditation is our natural state of silence and contentment. It doesn’t belong to any religion or country, but is the very core of religiousness… It is universal.  Anybody who travels the path of meditation will become peaceful and loving. This is what the world needs today.  More than ever. Yes, you will have to face yourself, your thoughts and ideas, that separates you and holds you back.  But your true face is of happiness.  Finding that original face is the journey of meditation.”

Some Kiss We Want

October 22, 2009

There is some kiss we want with

our whole lives, the touch of

spirit on the body. Seawater

begs the pearl to break its shell.

And the lily, how passionately

it needs some wild darling! At

night, I open the window and ask

the moon to come and press its

face against mine. Breathe into

me. Close the language- door and

open the love window. The moon

won’t use the door, only the window.

THE FIRST INSIGHT . . . A CRITICAL MASS A new spiritual awakening is occurring in human culture, an awakening brought about by a critical mass of individuals who experience their lives as a spiritual unfolding, a journey in which we are led forward by mysterious coincidences.

THE SECOND INSIGHT . . . THE LONGER NOW This awakening represents the creation of a new, more complete worldview, which replaces a five-hundred-year-old preoccupation with secular survival and comfort. While this technological preoccupation was an important step, our awakening to life’s coincidences is opening us up to the real purpose of human life on this planet, and the real nature of our universe.

THE THIRD INSIGHT . . . A MATTER OF ENERGY We now experience that we live not in a material universe, but in a universe of dynamic energy. Everything extant is a field of sacred energy that we can sense and intuit. Moreover, we humans can project our energy by focusing our attention in the desired direction…where attention goes, energy flows…influencing other energy systems and increasing the pace of coincidences in our lives.

THE FOURTH INSIGHT . . . THE STRUGGLE FOR POWER Too often humans cut themselves off from the greater source of this energy and so feel weak and insecure. To gain energy we tend to manipulate or force others to give us attention and thus energy. When we successfully dominate others in this way, we feel more powerful, but they are left weakened and often fight back. Competition for scarce, human energy is the cause of all conflict between people.

THE FIFTH INSIGHT . . . THE MESSAGE OF THE MYSTICS Insecurity and violence ends when we experience an inner connection with divine energy within, a connection described by mystics of all traditions. A sense of lightness–buoyancy–along with the constant sensation of love are measures of this connection. If these measures are present, the connection is real. If not, it is only pretended.

THE SIXTH INSIGHT . . . CLEARING THE PAST The more we stay connected, the more we are acutely aware of those times when we lose connection, usually when we are under stress. In these times, we can see our own particular way of stealing energy from others. Once our manipulations are brought to personal awareness, our connection becomes more constant and we can discover our own growth path in life, and our spiritual mission–the personal way we can contribute to the world.

THE SEVENTH INSIGHT . . . ENGAGING THE FLOW Knowing our personal mission further enhances the flow of mysterious coincidences as we are guided toward our destinies. First we have a question; then dreams, daydreams, and intuitions lead us towards the answers, which usually are synchronistically provided by the wisdom of another human being.

THE EIGHTH INSIGHT . . . THE INTERPERSONAL ETHIC We can increase the frequency of guiding coincidences by uplifting every person that comes into our lives. Care must be taken not to lose our inner connection in romantic relationships. Uplifting others is especially effective in groups where each member can feel energy of all the others. With children it is extremely important for their early security and growth. By seeing the beauty in every face, we lift others into their wisest self, and increase the chances of hearing a synchronistic message.

THE NINTH INSIGHT . . .THE EMERGING CULTURE As we all evolve toward the best completion of our spiritual missions, the technological means of survival will be fully automated as humans focus instead on synchronistic growth. Such growth will move humans into higher energy states, ultimately transforming our bodies into spiritual form and uniting this dimension of existence with the after-life dimension, ending the cycle of birth and death.

THE TENTH INSIGHT . . . HOLDING THE VISION The Tenth Insight is the realization that throughout history human beings have been unconsciously struggling to implement this lived spirituality on Earth. Each of us comes here on assignment, and as we pull this understanding into consciousness, we can remember a fuller birth vision of what we wanted to accomplish with our lives. Further we can remember a common world vision of how we will all work together to create a new spiritual culture. We know that our challenge is to hold this vision with intention and prayer everyday.

THE ELEVENTH INSIGHT . . . EXTENDING PRAYER FIELDS The Eleventh Insight is the precise method through which we hold the vision. For centuries, religious scriptures, poems, and philosophies have pointed to a latent power of mind within all of us that mysteriously helps to affect what occurs in the future. It has been called faith power, positive thinking, and the power of prayer. We are now taking this power seriously enough to bring a fuller knowledge of it into public awareness. We are finding that this prayer power is a field of intention, which moves out from us and can be extended and strengthened, especially when we connect with others in a common vision. This is the power through which we hold the vision of a spiritual world and build the energy in ourselves and in others to make this vision a reality.

Awakening through Sexuality

October 16, 2009

You have a sexual relationship with every facet of life.  As a fully realized being you will have ecstasy in this merging called sexuality, with all these facets of life, fragments of SELF, fragments of SOURCE.  You will have passionate love exemplified.  Your being will be on fire as the torch of you ignites into divine burning and illumination.  It is a torch that is not extinguished either, for as it continues, it becomes the burning of the Source itself, as it is no longer resident in the crown, but goes forward, and you merge with the Source, in what is now called ascension.  Therefore, it becomes the urgency of the Source, and not of the personality.  As you accomodate this rising frequency from your base all the way to your crown, you will go through much change, transition, adaption, further unfoldment and further knowingness.  You will find your life aligning.  You will find your experience joyful.  You will find your relationships to be harmonious.  You will find your love exemplified in every essence that is around you.  You will find yourself, really and truly being happy.  The joy which comes from this fountain of ecstatic communication with the opposite gender and through that with your own gender, will bubble and effervesce the ecstatic fountain and you will become the ever-flowing stream called God.  As you gaze into your mirror, you will know that you have a sexual relationship with yourself and that you have a sexual relationship with Source.

Healing into Wholeness

October 14, 2009

The healing path is our birthright and responsibility as we remember who we are.  As we remember who we are to one another.  That we are one another.  Healing means bringing ourselves back to wholeness, removing the veils of illusion which perpetuate the sense of separation.  Physical illness, disease or pain are symptoms of a problem that started outside the physical body held as an emotional, spiritual or mental wound.  These wounds can occur when trauma of any kind shows up in our lives.  These traumas make us feel separate from one another, or from Source or from parts of ourselves.  Through healing we remember who we are, in essence; and by remembering we can begin to see each of these so-called traumas as learning tools, and will eventually remember that we have never been separate and, in fact, can never be separate from the Oneness of all that is!  We can then smile the inner smile and smile the outer smile reflecting our inner light as an inspiration to others.

As we ourselves are healed, we provide an example for others, and as we desire to help and heal others, we ourselves are also healed.  The result is that relationships become a temple of learning in which healing is recognized as a collaborative venture that leads to the recognition of our underlying unity.

Relaxing into Infinity

October 13, 2009

In stilling the mind, and shifting your conscious awareness to the heart chamber, there is a magical world and then another…  Mystical worlds arise in awareness when you allow the ever-present aware witness to quiet to its natural state.  Slowing thoughts, emotions, physical sensations to a quiet state of silence or stillness, unveils multi-dimensions of thought and reality.  Undiscovered realms are waiting for our participation, acknowledgement and co-creative energies.  This is the time we have been waiting for…

Divinity has one ultimate secret, which it will also whisper in your ear if your mind becomes quieter than the fog at sunset: the God of this world is found within, and you know it is found within: in those hushed silent times when the mind becomes still, the body relaxes into infinity, the senses expand to become one with the world- in those glistening times, a subtle luminosity, a serene radiance, a brilliantly transparent clarity shimmers as the true nature of all manifestation, erupting every now and then in a compassionate Radiance before whom all idols retreat, a love so fierce it adoringly embraces both light and dark, both good and evil, both pleasure and pain equally…
